As an approved Centre, we offer the full range of welding certifications that City & Guilds has to offer.
These include: MIG/MAGS Welding
MMA/SMAW Welding
TIG Welding
Each course will include a combination of theory and practical learning.

All are also available in level 3 advanced welding skills.
Level 1 Awards are ideal for those that are new to welding, metal fabrication and thermal cutting. This is also ideal for those who would like to learn a new process. During the level 1 course you will initially learn how the weld sets work, including setting up and adjust settings to suit various tasks. You will then learn the selected process to complete various joins including; T fillet, lap join, butt join, open corner and pipe to plate in the flat/horizontal position.
Level 2 Awards are a continuation of level 1 learning but will include the vertical up/down welding positions. Here we will expand on techniques and control measures using the machines settings to allow you to complete the vertical joins. Level 2 is normally a requisite for a production operative/ welder and is accepted worldwide. It is ideal for those already working in industry who wish to progress and/or increase their knowledge and skill level to further their career perspectives.
Level 3 Awards in advanced Welding skills is the hardest to learn as it is completed in the overhead position. This is the minimum level required to work in the higher industry standard jobs, including steel works, concrete plants, large scale fabrication businesses etc. The next step would be to complete welder coding (BS 4872, 6G, BS EN ISO 9606, ASME and more)
ALL training will be tailored to the individuals experience and career aspirations. By training in this way our trainees will be able to head out into their chosen career choice with confidence. As part of the learning experience we will also be giving Abrasive wheels training and certification.
No qualifications are required to complete any city&guilds qualifications but having any previous proven training/certification will potentially lower the candidates required minimum 60 learning hours. The evidence to support the prior learning must be submitted on application and will be verified before training can commence.
